Weekly Happenings

So, this past month has been quite busy! We've been there, done that, got a tee shirt and now were are gearing up for our trip home! But, before I do come home, I wanted to share some random pictures with you of the things we have been up to. So here we go!

This first picture is of the paintings I did at the Jam Jar. It's a studio where you get 2 canvasses, 4 hours and all the supplies you need to create your own art work. These aren't hung yet, but they will be featured in our living room.

This 2nd picture is at the Gold Souk, it's not the best photo, but it gives you an idea at least.

This picture is John savoring the aromas of the spice souk. I believe that is Frankinsence (sp?) John bought some and later that night he practically smoked us out of house and home! My eyes were buring into the next morning!

This next one is of Nigel, Kristen and Me! We took an Abra across the creek to get to the Gold and Spice Souks. N&K are a great couple who we share lots of common ground with.

Well, if you know me, you know that my heritage is Italian and that I must talk with my hands... Unfortunately, somtimes I have props... At least the knife isn't sharp! This was an impromptu dinner party we had last Friday. Nigel captured this moment on his iPhone.

John and I were invited to a Murder Mystery Dinner at a friends house. We were cast at the 'jock' and the 'cheerleader'... Needless to say we had lots of fun that night and got to know some people we hadn't spent much time with. I look forward to hosting one of these soon!

So this one day, John and I went driving around looking at all the different villas and places we could possibly one day live in... and this building was there, which is kinda in the middle of nothing and we have no idea what it is. But, we thought it was cool looking. So enjoy the cool looking building.

Later that day, we went to the Arabian Ranches Equestrian Club to check out the polo club. This place was pretty swanky, it has some great restaurants and a spa that can really boast. But the most beautiful thing about this place was the horses, of course. John took this photo out on the polo field. It was an amazing place... but you won't catch me spending too much time there, not when a bottle of water costs $10.16. It was Peirre, but still... That's ridiculous!

I really love the artwork! I'm really impressed. I may have to steal that idea for our house. I'm looking for a new look recently!
